Nkosuo Initiative Visited Trotor Orphanage Home; Christmas with Trotor Orphanage Home

Nkosuo Initiative Foundation, the youth-led Ghanaian organization with a singular objective to ensure the socio-economic empowerment of socially, economically and politically disadvantaged groups such as women, children and youth in rural areas and informal residence in sub-Sahara Africa (SSA). Nkosuo Initiative work to meet its set goals, for example, Goal 1,2,4.8,10, and 11 which are No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequality, and Sustainable Cities and Communities. (2019-2024)

   Nkosuo Initiative initiated a first phase of community-based project (2019-2021) in community in the Eastern region of Ghana (Trotor community). The initiative was seen to cultivate and process vegetables, such Ginger, Pepper, Turmeric and Cucumber. After the initiative of the project, Nkosuo initiative has been part of the community to improve the livelihood of the community and the orphanage in the community (BASCO). Since these past years, Nkosuo Initiative has been visiting the community and the BASCO in order to attain its objectives which are, NO Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequality, and Sustainable Cities and communities. December 23, 2023, Nkosuo Initiative paid the Trotor community a visit with the team “Christmas with Trotor” and donated items to the orphanage for the Christmas celebration.

During their visit to the community, Nkosuo Initiative embarked on a lot of activities which entertain and change the atmosphere of the community and the home. Such activities were song ministrations ( Christmas carol songs), Games (apple eating competition), Making of Re-usable Pads, Drawings and Painting, how lucky are you? (Game), Having a feast together, and Donation of Items.

After everything was done the Trotor Orphanage home showed their heartfelt gratitude to the Nkosuo Initiative.

They also laid down their petitions to the Initiative and NGOs to come aid to support them.
