Kumawood star and entrepreneur Kwaku Manu has opened up about the significant financial backing required to scale his fragrance line, KM Perfumes 

In a recent sit-down with blogger ZionFelix, the actor pulled back the curtain on the perfumeindustry, noting that the costs are much higher than most people realize.

​According to Manu, maintaining a fully stocked, premium retail space demands a heavy capital injection. He revealed that his personal investment into the brand has already reached approximately GHS 300,000. He pointed out that any serious competitor in the market with a diverse inventory is likely operating with a similar level of substantial funding to cover branding, sourcing, and quality control.

​The entertainer emphasized that his business success isn't just about cash flow, it’s about meticulous preparation. Kwaku Manu explained that he doesn't simply purchase stock on a whim; he conducts extensive studies on fragrance profiles to ensure every product aligns with his brand’s standards.

    He drew a parallel between his acting craft his business ventures, stating that both require intense discipline and strategic planning rather than impulsive decisions.

    For him, perfumes are more than just a luxury. He views fragrance as a vital component of personal grooming self-assurance, describing it as a key element of one's identity.
