"We Will Hunt Them Down”: President Mahama Issues Stern Warning to Killers of Police Officers

In a powerful address delivered at the National Commission of 100 pickup Vehicles at the police headquarters, President John Mahama signaled a zero-tolerance approach to violence against law enforcement personnel. The President’s remarks follow a series of tragic incidents where several police officers were fatally shot by armed robbers and other criminal elements over the past year.

President Mahama emphasized that the state would no longer tolerate the targeted killing of security personnel. He issued a "notice" to criminals, warning that the police service will respond with absolute force against those who harm or kill its members.

“The police will deal very ruthlessly with anybody who harms, or injures, or kills a police officer,” the President declared

The President was explicit about the consequences for those who target officers in the line of duty. He stated that security forces would be proactive in tracking down suspects involved in such attacks.

“We will hunt them down, and we will neutralize them,” Mahama warned. “If you shoot at a police officer, we will come after you
